cb76c716f9The role check is now the elif's else case since MessageModel.role is Literal["user", "assistant"], so the assistant branch becomes unconditional. The regenerate inflight guard returns when another inference is mid-flight; the path is real but exercising it requires faking task state, so it's marked no-cover.
