PHASE 0: Contribution Architecture & Logging Foundation
Duration: Already documented in EU Sovereignty Policy Handoff
Scope: Logging standard, documentation templates, regulatory contribution workflow, repository structure setup
PHASE 1: Base OS Installation & Foundation
Duration: ~1.5-2 hours
Scope: Anaconda kickstart execution, first boot, foundational infrastructure, SSH setup, logging directories staged
PHASE 2: System Configuration & Secondary Drive Preparation
Duration: ~45 minutes
Scope: Package ecosystem, locale/timezone finalization, Ansible readiness, drive wipe initiation (background: ~48hr)
PHASE 3: Filesystem Architecture
Duration: ~30 minutes
Scope: Secondary drive partitioning, btrfs subvolume setup, mount configuration, fstab with UUIDs
PHASE 4: NVIDIA GPU Driver Installation
Duration: ~30 minutes
Scope: Driver 555.42+ installation, kernel compatibility verification, nvidia-smi validation, thermal/power monitoring baseline
PHASE 5: Ollama Deployment
Duration: ~45 minutes
Scope: Ollama installation, model pull (mistral:7b test model), inference verification, VRAM allocation tuning
PHASE 6: Build Suite & CEOS Tools
Duration: ~15 minutes
Scope: Compiler toolchain, development utilities, system monitoring tools (nvtop, htop, tmux), CEOS standard software
PHASE 7: System Configuration & Dotfiles
Duration: ~20 minutes
Scope: User environment setup, shell configuration, system-wide defaults, editor/tool preferences
PHASE 8: Open WebUI Deployment (Optional)
Duration: ~30 minutes
Scope: Open WebUI installation, model integration, web interface validation, temporary learning aid (planned removal post-Phase 14)
PHASE 9: Security Hardening & Network Configuration
Duration: ~1 hour
Scope: nftables firewall rules, SSH key pinning, MAC address network registration, SELinux policy review, monitoring setup
PHASE 10: Backup & Data Protection (Borgmatic)
Duration: ~45 minutes (+ Aruba account setup)
Scope: Borgmatic installation, per-drive backup job configuration, Aruba SFTP setup, local/remote repository validation
PHASE 11: Thermal Baseline & Performance Testing
Duration: ~30 minutes active test + 2 hours observation
Scope: Sustained GPU inference load test, thermal envelope validation, power consumption measurement, efficiency baseline
PHASE 12: Full System Validation
Duration: ~1 hour
Scope: All subsystems integration test, storage redundancy verification, backup/restore procedure validation, incident logging test
PHASE 13: Home LAN Migration & Integration
Duration: ~30 minutes
Scope: Network IP pinning (192.168.0.240), DNS registration, static IP configuration, LAN service integration
PHASE 14: Observation Period & Regulatory Contribution
Duration: 4 weeks + submission tasks
Scope: Operational metrics collection, safety filter effectiveness analysis, incident tracking, formal submission to EU (AI Office, ANSSI, AgID), public repository publication
