a031ba98b8The nightly smoke plan turned a PyPI connection reset into an empty version, so every consumer job asked for `langchain-mcp-adapters==`. The picker now retries and fails the plan when a version comes back empty. Upgrade checks flagged `abandoned` and `pid` in the stdio wedge test as possibly unbound, since they were only assigned inside a cancel scope.
